Born in Naples, Francesco Marsiglia studied voice at the Conservatory of Salerno and in master classes with Luciano Pavarotti, Raina Kabaivanska and Renato Bruson.  Winner of many singing competitions (including the 58° edition of the “A. Belli – Comunità Europea 2004” at the Lirico Sperimentale Theater in Spoleto), the Italian tenor started his career at Teatro Giuseppe Verdi in Salerno with roles like Fenton in Verdi's Falstaff, Bastien in Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne and Nemorino in Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore.

In recent seasons he has appeared in prominent theatres: he sang  Prunier in Puccini's La Rondine at the Teatro del Giglio Lucca and Opera de Toulon (France); Alfredo in La Traviata at the Teatro Belli Spoleto and Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; Lord Arturo Bucklaw in Lucia di Lammermoor at Teatro La Fenice; Camille de Rossillon in The Merry Widow at Arena di Verona; Clistene in Pergolesi's L'Olimpiade at the Teatro San Carlo Naples and on tour Russian in Sanct Petersburg (Russia), Conte d'Almaviva in Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the theatres Donizetti in Bergamo, Politeama in Lecce, Sociale in Rovigo, Opera Giocosa in Savona, Del Giglio in Lucca, dell'Aquila in Fermo, Pergolesi in Jesi, Petruzzelli in Bari, Alighieri in Ravenna and Comunale in Florence; Ernesto in Donizetti's Don Pasquale at the Opera de Toulon (France); Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto and Florville in Il signor Bruschino at the Teatro Opera Giocosa Savona; Beppe in Pagliacci at the Teatro San Carlo Naples; Clem and Alfred in The Little Sweep at the Teatro L. Pavarotti in Modena, Nemorino in L'Elisir d'Amore at the Teatro Regio Turin and at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele Messina; Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at the Teatro Del Giglio in Lucca, at the Palm Beach Opera (Florida), at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele Messina and at the Fortezza Priamar in Savona; Giambarone in Don Trastullo at Teatro San Carlo in Naples; Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza; Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at Teatro Massimo Bellini; Edmondo in Manon Lescaut at Teatro di San Carlo in Napoli, at Grand-Théâtre de Genève and at Teatro Regio di Torino.

Last season, he appeared a.o. as 
Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at the National Centre for the Performing Arts Beijing, as Conte d'Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, and as Pang in Turandot at Teatro Massimo di Palermo.

Highlights of the 2019/2020 season include Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at Teatro Sociale di Rovigo as well as at Opera de Massy, Conte d'Almaviva in Il Barbiere di Siviglia at Opera di Genova, and Cassio in Otello in a concert version with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Tel Aviv.
